I noticed at the end of the Yankees/Braves game at Turner Field that the Yankees fans in abundance there started a roll call, albeit a crappy one. If Ted Turner was still alive, he wouldn’t tolerate that.
Enough premature obituaries, read these:
- Andy Phillips might be catching on overseas in Japan. He was a good Yankee (especially in 2006 when he went on a torrid stretch…) [The Japan Times]
- A little look at baseball and labor relations. [The Phoenix Pub]
- More fun with FAIL-coeur. (I read in the comments of PeteAbe’s blog people advocating this bumass over Swish. That’s why most comment sections are dangerous.) [Tinypic via RAB] [creative Jock]
- Trouble in the OC. (Don’t call it that.) [Halos Heaven]
- If you pay for this, guess what: You’re a moron. (More on this later.) [New York Times]
…Speaking of the Braves, I wonder if any Braves reliever/hitter ever entered the game to this:
(Because that would be simultaneously hilarious and badass.)
