I just want to establish this right now. I am not a big Matt Holliday fan. A lot of his numbers seem inflated from playing at Colorado and backing up Pujols. Would he be a good replacement for Damon in left, should the Yankees go another route? Yes. But the type of money his agent Scott Boras is going to want will be prohibitive.

I have a feeling the Yankees are going to be in on Holliday to drive his price up should the Red Sox pursue him, which they probably will. But I am going the extra mile and PRE-guessing this move.
