I have grown to tolerate Mike Francesa. Perhaps it is I’m so used to hearing him bloviate about the Yankees and other teams and sports. Well, actually it’s probably more likely that I only have to see/hear him when I’m visiting my folks back in New York, so he’s not much of an issue for me.
That latter point is important. Being a NYC transplant, I’m blissfully aware of how people in other locales view us: As self-important a-holes. While I wear some of that with pride, I also can see how that attitude can grate on people. And that is why Mike Francesa’s reasoning for why LeBron would be coming to the Knicks is a prime example of not exactly helping how we are perceived elsewhere.

If Lebron still wants to make a billion dollars in his life he will go to New York, but I don’t think it’s close to definite where he’ll wind up.
Nowhere near definite, but them slapping up a huige Lebron poster a block from the Garden isn’t the most subtle thing in the world.
